To the Honorable Legislature of the State of Texas:
The undersigned citizens of Washington County outside of the limits of the proposed new county hereinafter mentioned, hearing that the citizens of
the western end of Burleson county, the western end of Washington county, the eastern portion of Bastrop county, and the northeastern portion of
Fayette county desire to be incorporated into a new county and being fully apprised of the inconvenience of their situation in regard to their
respective county seats, we take pleasure in expressing our willingness for the Legislature to create and establish a new county embracing the
territory designated, in case a memorial on that subject shall be addressed to your Hon. Body.
