To the Hon. Legislature of the State of Texas:
Your memorialists, most respectfully memorialize your Hon. Body on the subject of a new county which they ask may be formed of portions of
Washington, Burleson, Bastrop, and Fayette Counties with the following described boundaries, Viz:
Beginning in Washington Co. on the H&TC R. R. three miles East of Ledbetter, thence to Allegator Creek, thence down Said Creek to Turkey Creek,
down Turkey Creek to Cedar Creek, down Cedar Creek to its confluence with the Yegua, up the Yegua to the mouth of the West Yegua. Thence to the S. E.
corner of the Bynum League in Burleson Co, thence with the East boundary line of Said League, continuing the same direction to the Milam County line.
Thence with the line of Milam and Burleson Counties to the West corner of Burleson County, thence East with the Burleson and Bastrop County line to
the S. W. corner of the G. Eschberger Survey. Thence in a direct line to the S. W. corner of the J. H. Bostwick League in Bastrop Co. Thence to the N.
W. corner of the Muckey League. Thence to the S. W. corner of the David G. Green Survey in Fayette County, Thence in a direct line to the S. corner of
the John Pain Survey, thence in a direct line to the point of beginning.
