Luther's "Christian Guide for Each Day"

31 July

Lord, remember me, when You come into Your kingdom. Luke 23:42.

God will preserve His Christian church, even if all fall away from Christ, Emperor, King, Pope, Bishop, the mightiest and most learned upon earth. God will still keep a little pile, of those who have his Spirit and who shall confess Him before the world. If the disciples along with others, whom Jesus Christ has converted, were not to confess nor believe in Him, but instead out of fear deny Him, be offended by Him and as a result run away from Him, then a criminal and murderer has to come forth and confess this Christ, preach to and teach other people about Him, what a person is to think about Him and what comfort one can find in Him. Because our Lord God will not leave Christ without people who confess Him, even if at the same time it is a thief on the gallows or a murderer on the "Rade" [aka electric chair].

Ouch ... but thank You Lord for seeing me through on more (shorter) translation.

In Christ,

Elmer H.

No one can rip them out of My Father's hand. John 10:29.

Blessed forever be He, the only true and faithful Shepherd and the Bishop of all souls who believe in Him. And of course He won't actually begin to learn from, about how how He should protect His own - those who listen to and keep His voice - from the devil's power and the worlds wickedness and tyranny. He [Jesus] says, they shall never perish. No one shall ever rip them out of My hand. So I leave it at that, as a result I desire nothing further than that I should take care of the soul and  take it into my hand and have the power over it so that it truly will be delivered from evil.  For the devil could at any moment rip them away from me and destroy them. However many thousand times more I would have it that I have the soul in His hand, there it will according to His Word remain ever more sure and secure.

THE 'LOST HAVE BEEN FOUND'! Thank you Dan Carter!

I'll now translate the second of the "found" ones, 18 July:  Praise God from whom all blessings flow!

He spoke, and it was. He ordered, and it came into being.

All creatures have been created by the Word, and as He called out or spoke, they rose up and said: Here we are. That's why we should not doubt; what God says to us through His beloved Son, His eternal Word, that must be so; it must see and go as He orders it. However the devil, the first one to fall away, has through inherited sin blinded us, so that we are unable to believe nor able to grasp how what He says has to be yes and be there, and thus He at the same time with miracles and with the creation of all creatures at the beginning of the world bears witness, so that like Paul in Acts 27 we may indeed tap into and access Him, that's how near He is to us. Yet this is of no help. However blessed is he who takes note of, remembers and loves that God Himself [in Latin]Ipse and Dixit, i.e., thought of this and spoke it.

THE 'LOST HAVE BEEN FOUND'! Thank you, Dan Carter!  I'll now translate the missing ones starting with this one for 17 July.
Praise the Lord!

Those whom the Lord loves, He disciplines; but He whips each son that he accepts as His own. Hebrews 12:6.

God deals with the God fearing and Christians almost the same way he does with the godless and non-Christians, indeed at times even more severely. He does nothing other than what a head of the household does with his sons and servants. He disciplines and whips the son far more often than the servant; yet he gathers up for him a treasure to inherit. However a wicked, disobedient servant he does not whip with a rod, instead he shoves him out through the door and does not give him an inheritance. Otherwise I could not unravel this argument of why God lets His dear children in this world walk through the role of being plagued; the godless however He gives everything fully and sufficiently, which they then lustfully booze up and consume without repulsiveness.

Lord, I pray that my dementia ridden mind translated this fairly accurately. ( I'm grateful to God for His grace and forgiveness .... and for sending my earthly home with ca. 4 1/2" of rain this week; out of gratitude Lord, may all Baal gods be purged from my life(cf. 1 Kings 18).  The peace of the Lord be with us all.

I have chosen and appointed you, that you go out and bear fruit, and your fruit shall remain. John 15:16.

These are virtues of a pious pastor and preacher, that he increases God's Kingdom, fills heaven with saints, plunders hell, deprives the devil, stands up to death, controls the sins, thereupon instructs the world and comforts, each individual in his/her circumstance, upholds peace and unity, elegantly raises up the young people and plants all kinds of virtues in people, and in sum, he creates a new world and builds not a perishable, miserable house, rather he creates an eternal, beautiful Paradise, in which God Himself gladly resides. That's why there exists no golden nor silver mountain in any land that is comparable to this treasure.

Thank you lord for faithful pastors!

Here is fire; but where is the sheep for the burnt-offering? Abraham answered: My Son, God will provide you with a sheep for the burnt offering. Genesis 22:7-8.

That's faith's style as to how it conducts itself in regard to goods which it can neither see nor feel, and proceeds forth as if it had them in its hands, having no assurance other than it knows that God does not lie nor deceive. It does this in all sort of situations, such as when I have to die, and death steps before my eyes, from which I want to get away, and don't know where I should place the first step. Now unbelief is here; it fidgets and says: Where do I go now? Does anybody know where I stay? He always wants to know and feel where he should stay. But nothing ever comes of it, that's why he must always doubt and despair. Faith however thinks like this: I don't know where I'm going; also I need, see and feel nothing. However I will commend myself to Him Who in the Psalm has told me: Cast all your requests upon the Lord, He will provide for you. With that assurance I move on. For I know He will not lie; thus he has the life but does not see it, indeed, sees nothing other than the replay of it; how does he know that? Solely from the fact that God has said so; He does not want any of those who trust in Him to fall out of His hand.

Thank you Jesus for seeing me through a rough translation...hope I got right... Thank you for today's drought quenching rain and cool temperature on a 15. July day!

Against You only have I sinned.  Psalm 51:6.

Isn't it a sad thing and to be pitied, that the devil accuses and condemns us, in in light of the fact that he is much more wicked than we are? What business is that of his, that I have sinned? I of course did not sin against him, but rather against God and His commandments; in that he did not give me the Law, instead God did. It is called: Against You only have I sinned. Therefore, since we have God as our Father and the forgiveness of sins by grace for Christ's sake, the devil thus indeed has to leave us uncondemned; for Christ has expunged/wiped out from our conscience the handwriting that was against us by means of nailing it to the cross (Colossians 2)[v.14]. The inherited sin cannot be driven away by any kind of law or punishment, even if there were a thousand hells, instead only God's grace is able to sweep out original sin and make the human nature clean and new.

Thank You Lord for guiding me through another one.

Christ gave Himself up as a payment for us, in order to save us from all unrighteousness and cleanse for Himself a people of His own, who are eager to do good works. Titus 2:14.

As you count yourself among the creatures of God, who after the creation fell into sin through Adam, so you likewise need to regard yourself as one of the saved and place the word "us" above all the rest of the words: I believe in Jesus Christ, our Lord; so also the One who suffered, died and rose from the dead for us, so that He be our all in all and apply to us, and that you thus be among the "us".  So then Christ is about Christ and our redemption from sin and death, that the Holy Spirit is to make us from the old Adam into a new man, that we be dead to sin and live for righteousness, beginning here upon earth and increase until it is fulfilled there [in heaven]. For Christ not only won for us this grace, but also the gift of the Holy Spirit, so that we not only have the forgiveness of sins, but also the ceasing from sin. A Christian should have the Holy Spirit and lead a new life, or otherwise know that he has no Christ.

Dear Jesus, grant that this translation is not too far off the mark of what Luther wrote in German.

Anyone who wants to boast, let him boast in the Lord. Jeremiah 9:24.

When it concerns God's grace, it is not humility but pride that applies. Concerning your thing and person you should be humble; for you are nothing more than a bag of maggots. However you can not be proud enough about Christ's goodness and have to say: If I were still ten times more filthy, I nevertheless would still have that blood, the blood that purifies me and makes me holy and that cost Christ so very much, in order to redeem me like it did St. Peter. All the saints were just as deep as we were; thus we as well are exalted as high as they were, so that no one has more than I have, except that they have probably been stronger in the faith. Each will bring his works with him, as a result he will shine and will praise God. Everything will be equal with regard to faith and grace and celestial beings, but different in regards to works and their honor.

Oh, "When I survey the wondrous cross on which the Prince of Glory died, my very gain I count as loss and pour contempt on all my pride."(TLH #175, v.1)  So I count everything as garbage in order to win Christ and be found in Him...cf. Philippians 3:7ff.

Whoever is of God, listens to God's Word; that's why you don't listen, because you are not of God. John 8:47.

Christ speaks these words so simply that nobody thinks that they have great things in them; however anyone who correctly looks at them, diligently reflects on them, about what there may be or not be about God in them, will have to confess that this a great and precious thing Christ is talking about here. For it is most certainly true that one cannot judge a person more severely nor attack him more violently then when he says that he is nothing before God. That a person would call me a rascal and a rogue or even stab me in the neck, is nothing compared to this gruesome shameful misery, which the Lord here describes with brief words, as He says to the Jews: You are not of God. Therefore everything depends on this part, that we should gladly hear and keep God's Word. Just think, dear children, what a beneficial advantage you receive from this. So then know that you are of God, and have overcome the devil and hell, and neither sin nor God's judgment shall harm you. What filth you encounter in addition to such, you will be able to loosen yourself from it, since on the other hand the world also becomes impatient and despairing over the most insignificant request. The Christians indeed have to suffer much, since the devil and the world are their bitter enemy, they consequently have to dare to place body and life, goods and honor in harm’s way. But how can they suffer such and be patient enough to do so? Through no other way than that they abide and cling to the Word and say: Let be what will be; I am not of this world, rather of God, otherwise the world would deal differently with me; I would much rather prefer that the world hate me and lay all kinds of suffering on me, than for it to love me, and thus I would not be of God.

Ouch! Ouch! I painfully worked hard on this difficult translation yesterday afternoon .. 3/4 through I hit a wrong key and lost it all ... I was about to despair .. but thank you Jesus for sending Satan to hell, and enabling my three functioning fingers and my shrinking brain to re-translate it this morning...by God 's grace through faith in Jesus we are OF GOD!

You servants, obey your masters in this world with fear and trembling with respect and trembling, with the sincerity of your heart you show Christ. And you masters do the same toward for them and cut out the threats and know that also your Lord is in heaven, and with Him there is no preference of person. Ephesians 6:5 and 9.

If you have the gift from God, that you are mightier, greater, nobler, better educated than others, then remember that He has ordered you to serve others. If not, then know that a poor little shepherd boy, who is nothing compared to you, is far greater than you before God and the angels and is taken upward into heaven; you however, with your beauty, majesty, honor and jewelry will be cast into hell. Before God everything is the same, so that a maid servant has the same fame as lord Emperors and Kings, in that they can say: I believe in the same God, have been baptized into His Name and call upon my Lord Jesus Christ. If I'm a humble believer and am satisfied with my status, I have just as much before God as anyone else. On the other hand, even though persons are equal before God and have in common one Lord, one faith, one Baptism, it still is wicked and avails for nothing for the farm hand to be behind the plow, or the maidservant in the house, wanting to step forward, and they say to the lord or lady: Before God I am just as noble and good as you are, therefore I don't have to be subject to you nor obey you. Unfortunately it is quite common now a days that those of low standing insist on having the upper hand. That is not appropriate for a Christian, rather it's against those who rule and the teachings of Christ, for while He has forbidden those of high standing to practice haughty pride against the lowly, much more so has He forbidden those of a lowly standing to rebel against them.

By a miracle of God I finished another sloppy translation of a difficult Luther translation.

If anyone keeps My Word, he will not ever taste death. John 8:52.

This must indeed be a precious, powerful drug, that it is able to so easily heal a huge harm like death, that it also should no longer be seen.  If the world were to believe this, it would tear itself apart over the Word of God. - One should just take a look at what a precious and beloved art and skill one has here; that it can heal a fever or pestilence; how everyone just walks, runs, gives, does for this (in order to become healthy). However the Treasure and the Gem - Who takes away death along with all its illnesses, lamentations and distresses, Who is no respecter of persons nor suffers even a little, and yet is the high, eternal Truth, God Himself - be praised forever, Amen.  The more firmly however you hang on and the less you doubt, that much less you will feel death; that's for sure.  The more weakly you hang on, the more you doubt, that much the more you will feel death; that never fails. O Lord, strengthen our faith, thus the victory is ours and all is well done.

Amidst physical pain, the Lord enabled me to complete another translation... though sloppy.  O Lord, strengthen my faith. Amen.  ... even so come quickly Lord Jesus.

You prepare a table before me right in front of my enemies. Psalm 23:5.

God's Word is omnipotent, faith and spirit busy and restless, always has to have something to do and to lie down in the fields. Thus the Word of God must have not insignificant but powerful enemies upon which it can gloriously insert itself  with its great power, as these four fellows are: flesh, world, death, devil; that's why Christ  is called the Lord of Sabaoth, Lord of hosts, Who constantly fights and militarily lies within us. He also gives us His body and blood as food, which not only is to be a gracious sign, but also is to be a food for us, with which we are to refresh and strengthen ourselves, all of those who are with Him in the field of battle, and it is actually the pay and supplies with which he pays and supplies His army and, until at last they finally overcome and hold the field with Him. O it is a good coin, precious red gold, pure white silver, coveted beautiful bread and sweet wine; so then it is quite lovely to be in this military expedition.

Ouch .. ouch! Luther, I so struggled to get through this one ... hope I got some of it.

One of you were concerned about the 14 July one  ... remember that Luther in this one was addressing the folks Jesus is talking about: an unrepentant generation.

We played to you on a flute, and you would not dance; we sang to you a funeral song and you would not weep.  Matthew 11:17.

That's how it still is today. If one preaches the Gospel, it doesn't help; if one preaches the law, it also doesn't help. If one plays the flute, they don't want to dance; if one sings a funeral song, they don't want to cry. One can neither make the wicked world really joyful, nor really sad. They are a folk who neither understands the Law or the Gospel nor wants to understand; one can neither make them into sinners nor comfort them against sin; one can neither make them blind nor seeing. - If one of them lives a free life, it then is not lawful; if another leads a hard and strict life, it then amounts to nothing. What then is one to make of this disgraceful, shameful world? This might please you, if one were to praise everything that you do, even though you are doing nothing right.

I'm sorry Lord, forgive me for failing to translate this well.  I hope you readers will nevertheless benefit from it.

You should know this, that no fornicator or unclean person or greedy person (which is one who worships idols) has a heritage in the Kingdom of Christ and God. Ephesians 5:5

Stinginess, fornication and sexual indecency are of course big, terrible sins and our Lord God even punishes them with pestilences and plagues. However at the same time nation and people remain. However this sin is not adultery and fornication, actually it is not a human but a devilish sin, in that a person would neglect, laugh at and mock the fatherly visitation of God; after this sin there most certainly follows a punishment, which is called: Depart from Me! Who would want to help anyone who not only becomes weak, but instead also not only walks with his feet, but also lets them lead and guide him? It's just too much that we are sinners, and then still additionally want to kill the One (namely our Lord Jesus Christ), Who wants to carry us and redeem us, killing the One Who comes to save us; nobody does that, except for the wicked devil and those who are full of the devil.

Well, brother Martin, I hope I translated you fairly accurately.

Through Christ you have heard the Word of Truth, namely the good news about your salvation. Ephesians 1:13.

Look, such assurances of His grace and forgiveness of sins is actually called good news/gospel. And once more and again I tell you, that you of course are to understand the gospel in no other way than God's assurance of His grace and forgiveness of sins. And so it happened that up to now St. Paul's epistles were not understood, also are impossible to be understood; because they do not know what Law and Gospel actually mean. For they regard Christ as a Law Maker and the Gospel as a vain teaching of a new commandment; that is nothing other than locking up the Gospel and hiding everything else. For the word Evangelism is Greek and in German means 'a joyful message', that's why in it is proclaimed the salutary teaching about life from divine assurance, and grace and forgiveness of sins proceed from it. That's why no work belongs to the Gospel, for it is not Law, rather faith alone, for it is a plain simple reassuring promise and offer of divine grace. Whoever then believes this, receives grace and the Holy Spirit; from this the heart then becomes happy and rejoices in God and then immediately willingly and without compulsion, for free, keeps the Law, without fear of punishment and without  seeking a reward, for faith is sufficiently satisfied with God's grace, by which the Law has been adequately fulfilled.

Luther: where do you come up with these non-dictionary words?  Jesus, I hope my Sprachgefuhl adequately translated this,

Elmer

I am Joseph, your brother, who you sold into Egypt. Genesis 45:4.

We should not perfunctorily/superficially/routinely read the above revelation by Joseph, instead we should view/consider it with a big heartfelt emotion, like that which Joseph and his brothers were caught up in. I don't know how I would have reacted when he said: I am Joseph. And neither did Joseph's brothers know. What will become of it, when our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will appear, Who in this life tests us in various ways, allows us to be severely plagued, become severely tested, and killed. O what a great joy it shall be when He shall so quickly and unexpectedly change us, while we previously had perceived and allowed ourselves to think that He would be a gruesome Tyrant Who wanted to do us in, and He instead will say: I am 'Joseph’ I am your Savior.

I'll try to keep crawling at a snail's pace- as I type with my crippled fingers - take that Satan!

O thank you dear Savior! Even so come quickly, Lord Jesus!

They will turn the ears away from the truth and turn to fables/ fiction. 2 Timothy 4:4.

When the people hear one tell them about historical matters and examples, they marvel. If the preacher plays around with pictures and spiritual interpretations and explanations, that really pleases the folks and the chief well. But when one preaches about the Article of Justification, that a person becomes righteous and saved before God solely by faith in Christ, here the congregation thinks one is not a speaker, indeed they would gladly not listen to him. And have it as a sure sign, that when one preaches about the Article of Justification, the folks then fall asleep and cough; if one however begins to speak about historical matters and examples, then one rips open both of his ears, is quite and diligently listens. Where this Article (about Justification) is absent, there also the church is away and is unable to withstand any error. For apart from this Article of Justification there rules either self-assurance or work righteousness. If we truthfully and purely understand this Article of Justification, we then have the true heavenly Son. If however we lose Him, we then have nothing other than hellish darkness.

Ouch! the thorn in my flesh, aka arthritic pains, have called it a day.

Do not be afraid, you little flock; for it is your Father's delightful pleasure to give you the kingdom of God. Luke 12:32.

When we see so much ingratitude and wickedness among middle-class citizens, farmers and all sorts of classes, it frequently drives us into thinking that the whole world is possessed by the devil. However the comfort must still remain, that there yet still remain some upright, saintly people living. For God will never be without people, because He is a God of mercy and the court: those who are not unrepentant, but instead humble themselves, those He forgives and those He saves and reigns over them. The pure true church is actually a teeny little pile of doggy doodoo, lying under the cross. But the false church is splendidly magnificent, vainglorious and boastful, blooming and has a beautiful, great appearance like Sodom. Therefore let us in the church pray with the church for the church; for there are three things which uphold the church and solely belong to the church: First: faithful teaching; secondly: diligent praying; and thirdly: suffering with sincerity.

...hope I captured Luther's thoughts into English sufficiently for you...

We live by faith and not by sight.  2 Corinthians 5:7.

This life is nothing other than a life of faith, love and cross. However these three shall never be perfect in us. Christ alone is the Sun and has been given to us as an example, which we should strive to imitate. Among us however one finds some who are weak, others who are strong, and others who are even stronger. The former are able to suffer very little, the others very much, and thus must all remain in the image of Christ. For this life is the kind of life where one goes forth from faith by faith, from love by love, or from cross by cross. It is not righteousness, rather justification, not cleanliness, rather cleansing. We still have not yet arrived to where we should come; we however are on the road and the way; upon which some are further along than others. God is satisfied that He finds us at work with determination. When he wants to, He immediately will come and strengthen the faith and the love and in the blink of an eye will take us out of this life into heaven.

This one easier to translate ...

Anyone who believes in Me, he shall live, even though he dies. John 11:25.

A man means someone who is born from flesh and blood; but a Christian means someone who has been baptized and in Baptism has been washed with Christ's blood; he should promote the name, that he is called a Christian or a Christ. Also so that when one asks you: What are you called with your new name, Christian or a Christ? - even though your name is Hans, Peter, Paul, - you are able to respond: By my father I have been named Hans, Peter, Paul; however by the Man Christ I am called a Christian. When it comes to dying; then John, Peter, Paul depart; however a Christian does not die. I see that John, Peter, Paul are buried; however a Christian does not get buried, but instead he lives. That's why when I die as Peter and Paul, there is nothing to it. For if I am a Christian, then the Peter and Paul shall again come forth from the grave; for Christ, from Whom I have the name, tells me so.

Ouch! ouch! The Lord's plan is wonderful, and He carries it out wondrously.  Isaiah 28:29.

Let us learn the plan which God in the reign of His saints takes care of to maintain. I have also often dared prescribe to our Lord God certain ways, as to how he should conduct Himself in ruling His Church or other things. Alas Lord, I gladly wanted that this might happen and should have such an outcome. However God smashed to pieces what I had asked for. Then at the same time I thought: Now then, my plan is nevertheless not opposed to God's glory, but rather will be very beneficial, so that through it God's Name will be hallowed, His kingdom be gathered and increased, etc., in sum: it is indeed a beautiful plan and well thought out; but God without a doubt laughed at such wisdom and said: Well then, I know very well that you are an intelligent, learned man; however I had no need that Peter or Doctor Martin or whoever it may be, instruct, rule or guide Me. I am not such a God who lets Himself be taught or ruled, rather One who cares for others to lead, to rule, and to teach them.

Arthritic pain kept me up since the wee hours - but God used it to get me to finish this before breakfast.

We know full well that we are poor miserable sinners; but here despair is not applicable about what we are and what we do; rather it's about what Christ is for us and what He has done and still does for us. Are you thinking it is great that you are God's child? Better, so then also don't let yourself think it's insignificant that God's Son came, born of a woman and placed under the Law, so that you become such a child. What God works is all a great thing; that's why it also makes for great joy and cheer, and undaunted spirits that are afraid of nothing and are able to cope with everything. Therefore hold firmly on to this text; you have to hear the cry of the Spirit; for it is also the cry of your heart, why should you not feel it? The Spirit of God gives witness to our spirit that we are children of God. Why shouldn't our hearts feel such outcry, sighs and witness? Oh, to this also exquisitely served tribulation and suffering. They produce such crying out and awaken the Spirit. Now if you still don't feel the crying out, then don't stop thinking and praying until God listens to you.

Lord, forgive me for where I may have poorly translated this; hear my prayer for Jesus' sake.

And Mary stayed with her about three months, after that she went home again.  Luke 1:36

She's filled with the Holy Spirit and carries in her body the Son of God. And yet she takes on the form of a youthful maiden. And such virgins have to extol that Mary also was such a person. If only this could be impressed upon all situations! Already the maidens and the mindset is impressive. If only they could see what shows in Himself and in the greatest Person! The most noble image of womanhood takes on the stance of a maiden. And that should make every woman blush with embarrassment.  And this has been written, so that they not be like geese and ducks, but rather an example for all virgins and wives, that they are to be humble, willing to serve, not obstinate, gruff, etc.

I hope pray that my weakening mind has translated this fairly accurately.

He exercises power with His arm and scatters those who are proud in the mind of their hearts. Luke 1:51

It is a potter's work of God that He takes hold of the head of a great king like Saul, who did not want to fear God nor want His Word held before his eyes, and He brought forth a poor shepherd, whom He made into a king. Why would you then rely on and be proud of your own wisdom, and not be afraid? Why do they hurl forth the battle cry, like as if they had received it from themselves, just like princes and aristocracies, middle class citizens and farmers now do? I am who I am, they say, should I allow myself to be mastered by the clerics and not do whatever I want to? Well then, says our Lord God, be naughty/spiteful, wicked and wise, you still will have to allow Me to be seated. I have My arm, if I were to twitch it, then you better watch out; it is very heavy and it will press down on you and make you very anxious, to the point where you won't know when you will get back home. So then that's God's style, when he wants to topple people on account of their haughty pride, He then first of all makes them into fools and blinds them. After they have been blinded, they soon are put to shame, so that they have to be ashamed of their cleverness. With their own wisdom He leads them to destruction, so that their attempt ends up precisely the same way that Pharaoh's attempt did in Egypt when he tried to pursue the Jews into the Red Sea. When they then have decided upon the best and say: like this or that we will grab hold of it, then our Lord God will mock them. Well then, He will say, alright then, you're on the right track, just fly away. With their pride He allows them to go forth. But thud! plop! they lie on a heap/pile.

Took my sleeping pill last night and a none addictive pain pill, but  pains kept me awake since midnight ... got up after 3:00 a.m. and now finished this most difficult WEGWEISER from Luther - I hope it's fairly accurate --am e-mailing it to you at 3:45 a.m. July 2nd.  God willing I hope to do two more later today.

My soul exalts the Lord, and my spirit is delighted in God, my Savior. Luke 1:46-47.

If a person supposes that he can praise/worship God with lots of words, shouts, screams, and clinking/tinkling/clanking sounds, he is acting as if God were deaf or knew nothing, unless we woke Him up and directed Him. Such a delusion about God is more a credit to that persons shame and disgrace than it is to his worshipping/praising God; instead, whoever in the depth of his heart thoroughly ponders well God's divine deeds, and views them with awe and thanks, so that it passionately flows forth, longingly sighs more than speaking, and the words themselves flow forth (not dictated nor composed), so that simultaneously the spirit flows forth, and the words have life, hands and feet, and yes that simultaneously the entire body and all its members gladly want to speak, that's what it means to worship/praise God in spirit and in truth, there the words are sheer fire, light and life.

Ouch, ouch.. Satan take this, Satan and shove it up your nose - God enabled me to complete another one!

Sola Deo Gloria!
