Serbin, April 4, 1878
To Carl Teinert, Ebenezer
Dear Teinert,
When you left me, I received two important letters, one from your Pastor Kaspar and one from Herman in Ft. Wayne. Above all things, I must talk
with you about these two letters. Come, therefore, back to me next Monday. And on Tuesday, April 9, visit my brother-in-law Liberty. I cannot be
done (finished) with him. It is certainly much to be required of you that you should have to come back and see me so soon. But, I can’t help it.
Therefore, come if you can.
I remain in the Lord, your devoted,
Johann Kilian, Pastor
[Ed Bernthal]
