After a prolonged silence, I would like to report something again from our community, and it is as follows:
On last Thursday, 8 days ago, Mr. Pobran died, and was given a Christian burial on Friday by Pastor Buchschacher. In spite of the day, a large number of friends and relatives showed up to pay their last respects to the deceased, which was the last honor to be paid to him.
On the 16th day of the month, Pastor Buschacher gave a moving funeral sermon for Ernst Kubitz from Willow Hole, Texas… a young man who departed us in the bloom of his youth.
Right unhospitable cold weather conditions and a lot of illnesses can be observed.

Nach längerem Stüschweigen wäre wieder etwas aus unserer Umgebung im berichten und zwar wie folgt:
Am letzten Donnerstag vor 8 Tagen starb Herr Pobran allhier, und wurde am Freitag durch Herrn Pastor Buchschacher christlich zur Erde bestattet. Trotz des [ ] Tages war die Betheiligung an der Begräbnisfeier, dem nunmehr Verblichen die letzte Ehre zu erweisen, eine zahlreiche.
Am 16 d. Mts. hielt Herr Pastor Buschacher von Willow Hole, Tex. dem in der Jugenblüthe dahin geschieden Ernst Kubitz, eine ergreifende Leichenrede.
Recht ungemüthliche kalte Wetterung und zahlreiche Krankheitsfälle sind als lenthalben zu verzeichnen.
